Gerard Coops has a Ph.D. in low temperature physics. After finishing his studies, he worked as a researcher for Dutch-based TNO, the largest industrial research institute in Europe. He held several management positions during his tenure with TNO, including Interim Director for a cluster of research institutes, and Director of Human Resources for an organization of 4,000+ employees, consisting of 90% highly educated professionals. As an interim director of an executive team, he successfully merged two institutes, and executed a change process for the strategic implementation of a new organizational structure.
Inspired by a leadership course he attended at the Center For Creative Leadership, he decided to make a significant career change. He quit his job and started his own company, HuReMa Consulting b.v. In order to meet the increasing needs of his clients, he works in a flexible network of over 50 experienced international associates located all over the world.
He is affiliated with the Center for Creative Leadership, as Senior Executive Coach and Senior Faculty. The Center for Creative Leadership is located in Americas; Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA); Greater China; and Asia-Pacific (APAC).
